This is utterly bizarre. Weird Tales in its current incarnation is the best it's ever been. Now, suddenly, the magazine will be sold and the whole staff fired. Editor Ann VanderMeer writes about it here: Wildside Press is selling WT to Marvin Kaye, who is buying it because he wants to edit it himself. Yeah. Words fail me. Go read Ann's piece. I'm very proud to have made my debut in Weird Tales, especially the kind of magazine it is with Ann VanderMeer as editor. She and her crew have done so much to re-invent the magazine, searching out and publishing fiction from both established and new writers, from all corners of the earth. I'm so sad to see this happen. Well, whatever Ann decides to do next, it'll blow your socks off.
