So, Jagannath is nominated for the World Fantasy Award. That's a little insane. I process these things very slowly - if at all - so I've no idea how that feels. Everyone else has been doing plenty of cheering for me. I'm in very fine company with authors like Ursula K Le Guin, Kij Johnson and Robert Shearman; it's been a fantastic year for collections, so being nominated is a great honor. I'm also very happy to see Ann & Jeff Vandermeer and Adam Mills nominated for their work with Weird Fiction Review, plus my Clarion 2010 classmate Greg Bossert for his stunning short story "The Telling", and the fabulous artist Kathleen Jennings. The whole list of nominees here. To those who voted for Jagannath: thank you, from the bottom of my heart. This is an old, old dream come true (even if it hasn't quite sunk in yet). Like, being 20 years old and sighing over Locus in the lunchroom old dream come true.
